Mrs Audrey Maria Tapscott

Audrey Marie Tapscott (nee Williams) died in her home on January 15, 2019 in Richmond, CA due to complications of Alzheimer’s.  She was 77.

Audrey was born on July 19, 1941 in Danville, Virginia. She worked at Gimble’s department store before moving to California in 1967, where she married the love of her life,Willie Tapscott.  

Audrey worked several  jobs in bio-science industries.  She enjoyed reading, listening to music and traveling with her family.  She is survived by her husband, Willie, her two daughters Denise and Victoria, her sister Sandra Howerton, her uncle John Williams and aunt Elizabeth Williams, her Brother-in-Law and his wife Franklyn and Evelyn Tapscott, her Sister-in-Law Bettie M. Spencer, and an extensive list of family members on the East Coast.

She will be buried at a private ceremony at Sacramento National Cemetery in Dixon. A memorial was held at Hilltop Community Church on Saturday January 19th at 11 am. In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
