Bonnie Re Tarrant

Bonnie Re Tarrant, a native and longtime resident of Richmond, passed away on March 7, 2018, at Casa Blanca Retirement Home in Alamo, California. Born on December 23, 1926, to William and Jensena Lowrie, she was the last survivor of their six children.
Bonnie attended local schools, graduating from Richmond High in 1944. In 1948 Bonnie married Camilo Re and together they raised their three sons, residing in Richmond until his death in 1971.
Through work at Kennedy High School, Bonnie met Noble Tarrant. They married in 1976 and spent 25 wonderful, happy years as truly awesome grandparents until Noble's death in 2004.
Bonnie is survived by her loving sons David and Michael Re, appreciative grandchildren Denise Garan, Trisha Liddicoat, Matthew, Rebecca and Kevin Re, and great-grandchildren Quincy and Zion Garan, Nathan, Ryan and Sutter Liddicoat, and Thomas and Charlotte Re. She is also survived by daughters-in-law Darlene, Kathy and Debbie Re, and step-daughter Carole Beasley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her beloved son Ronald in 1986.
Bonnie was one of the founding members of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a lifetime member. She retired from the Richmond Unified School District as a school cafeteria manager after 30 years of service.
Bonnie was all about family and was very proud of everyone, especially her adored grandchildren. She loved cats and enjoyed Red Onion hamburgers, Disneyland and See's candy.
