Constance “Connie” Swisher passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94.
Connie was born in Hollister, CA, where she grew up alongside her brothers Auggie, Julian, and sister Angie.
A working mother of five, she retired from Kaiser after 30 years and spent time volunteering at the senior center, clowning, spending time with her grandchildren, and gardening at her home in Pinole.
Connie is preceded by her late husbands, Sam Swisher (1989), and Frank Lopez (2010), and her sons Mike, Joseph, and Steve Swisher.
Surviving are her children Marty and Joyce Swisher and Frank Lopez Jr., grandchildren Steve, Shyann, Joseph, Miriah, Cody, Mia, and Justin (all Swishers), and Zack Morgan. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She’ll be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond, CA, near her husband Sam and sons Joseph and Mike.
There is a public viewing on May 12th, from 11am - 2pm at Wilson & Kratzer – Civic Center Chapel, 455 – 24th Street, Richmond, CA 94804.
Funeral mass services are May 13th, at 11am at St. Joseph Church, 837 Tennent Ave Pinole, CA 94564.
