DELFINO CORREA QUINTERO
February 18, 1936 – April 10, 2019
Father was born in Juchipila, Zacatecas MX. He was immensely proud of where he was born. At nine years old he had to take on the role of being “man of the house” and at twelve he began working. His life experiences gave him the wealth of knowledge and wisdom to pass on to his large family over his 59 years of being married and a father. Once here in California, Delfino found himself work right away. He began at Color Spot in Richmond as a welder and when the company moved to central California he became the “Resident Security Guard”. He LOVED being a welder all his life, he would’ve continued as such had he not been “forced” to retire at age 75 due to medical reasons.
Delfino will be remembered for many things. Known for his big heart, love of laughter, joking with the family but never sugar coating anything are just a few of his well-loved characteristics.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 59 years, Andrea Quintero; children, Fidel, Oscar, Martha, Jose, Maria, Delfino Jr., and Luz Quintero all of Richmond; brothers, Francisco and Luz Quintero of Neveda; 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Javier, Ruben, Saul, Victor, and Juan Quintero as well as one brother, Florentino Quintero.
Delfino enjoyed having a large family & was always the life of the party. He will be deeply missed & forever in our hearts!
