Denise Caroline Buckley

October 25, 1963 – February 28, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Denise Caroline Buckley announce her passing on February 28, 2021, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Denise was born in San Francisco, CA to William F. and Nancy Buckley. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school, Aptos Jr. High, Balboa High and San Francisco City College, where she studied to be a legal secretary.

She was an asset to many law firms in the Bay Area throughout her career and took pride in her job.

Denise had a passion for music and joined an all female Afro Puerto Rican band, “Las bomberas de la Bahia” She will be greatly missed by her beloved fellow musicians.

Preceded in death by her loving father, William F. Buckley, Denise is survived by her adoring husband, Greg Mestas, her beloved mother, Nancy Buckley, her sisters Doreen and Nancy (Bill); brother William; nieces Carmen and Jasmine; nephews Randy, Billy, Frankie and Liam; and many, many close and dear cousins and a large diverse group of caring friends, all of whom mourn her passing.

Denise was a generous, loving, loyal and caring person who loved others and gave of herself. She also enjoyed cooking and going out to eat, and motorcycle rides with Greg, movies, good books and the people closest to her.

She brought brightness to our lives and for that, we are forever grateful.
