Ms Dorothy Cecelia Sterling

Dorothy Cecelia Moura Sterling, 95, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2022 in the early morning hours.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Jesuino Soares Moura and Adriana Pereira Moura, spouse Charles Sterling, children Gary L. Vassey, Sr. and Dale L. Vassey, Sr., sisters Mary Medina, Laura Hosford and brother Jesse Moura

Left to cherish her memory are children, Susan Mitchell (Don), Jill Holmes, David Vassey, Terry Vassey, and sister Betty Peak (Jon).

She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Tony Comstock.

Dorothy loved the Lord with all her heart. She made her decision for Christ as a young wife and mother. She made sure she shared God and her faith with everyone she met. She shared the Plan of Salvation giving opportunity for all to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and have eternal life.  She will be remembered as a good friend to all who came her way. She was a good listener and made time for people to talk about whatever bothered them. She was always available for prayer.  All were welcome to sit at her table and share a meal. She loved her family with all her heart. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Dot" to all who knew her.  She will forever be in our hearts and we will miss her dearly.
