Frederick F. Trott
March 6, 1940 – September 8, 2021
Frederick Francis Trott was born March 6, 1940 in Long Beach, CA to the proud parents, Ernest Frederick and Edna Frances Trott. He was the eldest of their six children, carrying on a name from each of them. Fred as he was well known by grew up and lived in Richmond the majority of his life. At the age of 21, he joined the US Army. After faithfully serving his country, Fred went on to serve his community. Proudly working for AC Transit. He remained working until his health declined due to complications of cancer and Fred reluctantly retired in 2008.
Fred’s love for his job, life and people shined through constantly. His gentle, easygoing soul always felt the need to give. He was known for buying things just too simply give them away. In spite of the need to give, Fred loved collecting model trains and was quite the train enthusiast.
Those left to carry on Fred’s legacy are his beloved twin daughters, Gayle Torres (husband, Ken) and Gwen Bishop (husband, Robert); grandchildren, Nicole Lynn Mendoza, Monica Michelle Torres, and Andrew Powell; great-grandchildren, Jayden McClain, Keilani Mendoza and Keanu Mendoza; his five siblings, Marie Pettitt, Beatrice Kearn, Meghan Gregory, Marianne Lawhan, and Charles Trott; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family members, friends and his darling Chihuahua, Missy.
