Gwendolyn Weldon 79, Left us on March 3, 2018 at home in Richmond, CA.
Gwen was born on November 14, 1938 in Atlanta to Margaret and Leroy Ward. Gwen was the mother of three children, one son and two daughters. She like most moms, sacrificed so that her children would the opportunity to thrive and grow in their lives.
Gwen worked in the Defense Accounting Services department at the Oakland Naval Supply for 42 years as an Accountant. She fell in love with Otis Weldon and they were married July 5, 1974. Otis passed before her on February 9, 2018 after 43 years of marriage. Gwen loved crocheting blankets, collecting Princess House crystal, buying high end purses and traveling in the motorhome with her family up and down California. In her latter years she took up the serious hobby to coloring books. She colored some incredible designs going through God knows how many coloring books. She looked forward to the weekly family prayers and the handouts given to her from the Living Word Ministries Community church messages.
She particularly enjoy the "Change your Brain" book given by Apostle Shields. Though her health was a challenge most of her life she always gave her best to her family. She simply lived in the K.I.M mode. (Keep it moving). Gwen is survived by her son Vincent Hunley, daughter in law Dahynelia Hunley, grandchildren Garrett and Christina Hunley. Daughters Tracey Franklin of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Charlotte Franklin of Los Angeles, California. Sister Kay Thomas of Hayward, California and brother Joe Ward of San Francisco, California.
