Mr Lowell Edward Thomas Sr

Lowell Edward Thomas, Sr. born December 3, 1960 to Mr. Mance Thomas, Sr and Mrs. Katherine Thomas, went to be with the Lord February 25, 2019 in Vallejo, CA at the age of 58. Born and raised in Richmond, Ca, he attended schools throughout the Contra Costa Unified School district and in his more recent years resided in Vallejo, CA. Lowell was a hardworking family man. He not only followed his father’s footsteps into his trade but also his legacy, Mance having been the first Black Business Agent with the Laborers Local Union 324; made Lowell a proud and active Union Member, he was a Foreman and part of the Union from 1977 to present day.  His love of people and great work ethic made him well known with his “Hall Brothers”. When Lowell was not working, taking care of his family or handling business; he could often be found fishing, working on cars or enjoying a good motorcycle ride. He was a left-handed bass guitar player, and loved music – any and all types, “If it had a good bass line”, Lowell could connect and appreciate it! Amongst other things, he also enjoyed a good sci-fi, western or comedy movie; loved the history channel and always continuously educated himself. Known as a wise man, if he didn’t have the answer to your question, you can bet he was going to get the right answer for you! He talked a good talk and never lost an argument that his family or friends could recall. His love of life and family will not be forgotten and his legacy will definitely live on through those that were blessed to know him.

Lowell is survived by four children, LaToya Thomas, Lowell Thomas Jr., Lorenzo Thomas, and LaVarrie Thomas; siblings, Tommy “Terry” Thomas, Tonia Thomas, Jo-Nathan Thomas and Guy Whitley; grandchildren, Diamond Thomas, Love Thomas, Demonte “RahRah” Harris, Dior Brooks, Ka’Sherah Thomas, Lowell Thomas III, LaVarrie Thomas Jr., Dai’Lyn Thomas, Jordyn Thomas, Christian Levi Thomas, Sir Richmond Cartier Doss and one baby-girl on the way, Skyla Thomas (Due March 8th, 2019); as well as his G-Brothers, Marcus Hooper and Big Perm. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mance Thomas Sr. and Katherine Thomas; two children, DeAndre and Sharanda Thomas; and siblings, Charles Thomas, Felix Harris, Mance Thomas Jr “June Bug”, Marshall Thomas, Debra Ann Thomas Bernstine, Kimberly Thomas and Surina Hooper.
