“Therefore you have to grief now; but I will see you soon again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.”
Marko Taylor Sr. also known as “Roc” was the youngest of three children born on December 24, 1970 to the proud parents of Henry Taylor and Audrey-Faye Hudson in Richmond, California and was described as a very adventurous and devious child. As he would often find his way down to the corner liquor store at the age of two wearing nothing more than a diaper.
Marko accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Saint Luke’s Baptist Church in Richmond, California.
Marko was always a driven and hardworking man, he had a passion and love for cutting hair which landed him at Moler Barber College in Oakland, Ca where he graduated and moved on to opening his own business by the name of Taylor’s Barbershop located in Richmond, Ca.
Keeping a business savvy mindset he then went on to open several other business which included a carpet cleaning company, janitorial company, and handyman/maintenance company giving him the name amongst family “Mr. Fix It”.
Determined to further his education and to continue building the “Taylor Empire” Marko attended Laney College then transferred to Solano College and went on to Sacramento State University to become a building contractor. Marko also completed his courses at the Contractors State License School where he passed with flying colors and was in pursuit of obtaining his contractors license for the state of California. He instilled in his children and family how valuable it was to further your education and to find the craft or business that fit you best to move forward in life.
Marko had a host of hobbies that he enjoyed outside of being the hardworking business man we knew. Amongst those hobbies were traveling with his lovely wife, golfing, cooking, working out, fishing, being out on water, debating, flying birds, and taking rides on his motorcycle but most of all he enjoyed quality time spent with children and grandchildren.
