Pilar Alicia Henriquez

October 12, 1947 – May 21, 2021 

Pilar Alicia Henriquez was born October 12, 1947 in El Salvador to the loving parents, David and Juan Alegria. Pilar was the second eldest of 13 children. In her early twenties, Pilar met and married the love of her life, Miguel Henriquez. The two were married for nearly 50 years, and of this union three children were born.

Pilar and her husband, Miguel lived in Richmond for the past 32 years. They raised their sons and enjoyed family trips and weekend Barbecues often held at the Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton. She was a parishioner of St. Cornelius Catholic Church and in her earlier years was known for her business of handmade blankets. 

 Pilar fought and survived her first 2-year battle with kidney cancer nearly 18 years ago.  Unfortunately, the cancer came back and though she fought hard to remain here with her family, God called her home May 21, 2021. She passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves to cherish her memory and pass on her legacy, devoted husband, Miguel Henriquez; sons, Edwin (wife, Christina), Dennis (husband, Sandre) and Miguel Jr. (wife, Gianina); three grandchildren, Alexxa, Isaiah and Mauricio; as well as her 12 siblings, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
