Mr. William “Bud” Murray

Born in Paragould, Arkansas September 1, 1938, passed away July 15, 2019 in Concord, CA at the age of 80. “Bud” as he was affectionately known to everyone, moved to California in 1964 and was taken in by the Hopkins family. Working as a Combination Man with Pacific Motor Trucking Company for approximately 24 years from 1971 to 1995; married his beloved wife, Mary in 1966 and raised his family here in California. Bud enjoyed many pastimes such as Duck Hunting, Gardening Vegetables, which he tended to daily and loved fishing. After retiring, he made sure to keep himself busy, caring for the house while Mary continued working.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Murray; daughter, Vicki Hendley and son, Randall Murray both of Paragould, Arkansas; son, David Murray of San Pablo, CA, daughter, Trish Dilley and son-in-law, John Dilley Jr. of Rodeo, CA, as well as daughter-in-law, Sherry Murray of Wyoming; siblings, Faye, Ray, Charles and Clarence Murray Jr. all of Paragould, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ryan Murray (USAF), Dang Murray, Chase and Brittney Boggs, Colton and Bri Murray all of Arkansas and Zachary Swagerty, Patrick Neel,Jr. and Brianna and Johnny Dilley all of Rodeo, California; as well as a host of many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Pearl Murray; son, Eddie Murray; grandson, Casey Murray; and siblings, Raymond, Ray Wilburn, Von Mc Coy, Donald Eugene, Wilma, Geral Dean, Gaylon Murray and Wonda faye
